The United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) has launched a program to verify raw materials based on “Good Manufacturing Practices, ICH Q7A – GMP for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients”.
This program establishes a severe control system, that verifies the facilities, the manufacturing and cleaning procedures and the quality of the products, guaranteeing that:

• Quality is consistent from batch to batch.

• The products meet label or certificate of analysis claims for identity, strength, purity, and quality.

• The products are prepared in accordance with accepted and validated manufacturing processes.

• The products are within the accepted limits of contamination.
